NBN diagnosis not followed through

Last Tueday(20/2/24), a big storm blew up my internet and landline. A NBN technician came and tested my line and equipment. He said I needed a new modem/router, and he said he would send the assessment report to TPG, TPG will send me a new modem. 

Due to my urgent need of internet access, I borrowed an old modem from my relative to use. But my phone still not working after plunging into the old modem(it's one that required splitter box).

 

In the meantime, TPG text me to say they 'tested' my internet now working so they CLOSED MY WORK TICKET!

I text them back to tell them, I haven't got the proper modem yet and the phone still not working. But no response!

 

I rang the tech helpline. They just said the job record shows 'service resumed',  'job completed', 

 

What????? I don't know if the NBN technician did not report the fault, or he did, but TPG ignore it.

How do I get any help, please?

Presumably you made it clear that while you had internet, the VOIP was not working? That would normally be escalated to technical.
Anyway, mods will no doubt help.
