Get online support
Hi @Chani . The NF12 can handle your plan speed with an ethernet computer. What speeds do you get on your computer if you run the speedtest on TPG support page?
The NF12 only has a slow speed wifi band (2.4Ghz) so any wifi devices can only connect at slow speeds. You can check this by looking in Settings, Wifi, on your device.
Modern routers also have the faster 5Ghz wifi band. Depends on whether your devices are capable to connect.
Too slow a speed on your ethernet computer could still mean a line problem. How long have you been on Superfast plan?
In the event you decide to buy a new router, you should do in-store rather than online.
Things to consider: how many users at a time, streaming movies or just browsing, gaming, smart devices (lights, switches, cctv), balanced with price.
Let us help find out the speed we are getting with the actual service and see if the modem needs a replacement to utilise the full speed. Could you send us a PM with your details to better understand the situation?
Regards,
Our internet is so slow, but we have the nbn home superfast plan.
We have the original modem (netcomm NF12) from installation 10 years ago.
Could the modem be too old???
I know nothing tech wise 🤣

There are different types of speed issues that you may experience:
1. Speed issues caused by a line fault on TPG or NBN's network. Affecting all device(s) LAN/Wireless connected to the modem/router this may require a real-time test and investigation by our Technicians and Engineers.
2. Wireless Speed issue this issue only affects the device(s) connected via Wi-Fi which can easily be fix by doing adjustment to the modem/router's settings.
3. Speed issues caused by ongoing outage in your area.
Since most of the affected devices are connected via Wi-Fi. We recommend having a read on the following articles:

Let us know how it will go.
Thanks for reply, we don't have a computer attached to it, we use it wifi for devices, streaming and gaming. So I guess the modem is too outdated for all that
Thanks for reply.
We use it wifi for devices, streaming and gaming so I think the modem may need to be updated
