Replacement modem from Hauwei to TP link

I'm having wifi stability issues with the Hauwei modem, will tpg replace it with the TP link option for problems like this?

The supplied Huawei HG659 or TP-LInk VR1600v have virtually identical Wi-Fi specifications and tested real world performance, It's unlikely that changing will solve an underlying issue.
