Hello Team,
I have recently asked to update the firmware version on the router to the latest one.
However, I am seeing constant connection drop on 5GHz. Earlier this was not the case.
Could you please revert the firmware version to below ?
Firmware Version:1.1.0 0.9.1 v5006.0 Build 180306 Rel.63433n
Regards,
Jagjyot
Hi @jagjyothans ,
The new firmware upgrade should not affect the performance of the latest Firmware Version. We'd like to confirm what troubleshooting you have done?
The wireless dropout you experience on 5Ghz frequency might be caused by Wireless Interference, here is an article that you may find helpful.
In the event that the issue still persist we recommend to perform factory reset on the modem/router and let us know how it will go.
Cheers!
Hi Shane,
Thanks for the links.
I haven't tried to change the channel in 5Ghz frequency yet.
I have set it to Auto.
For the other link, I did tested the connection in my neighbours apartment ( Same FTTB with TPG ) and it gets the speed of around 85+ Mbps. ( on 5Ghz ).
Let me know if there is a specific channel number that I should change on 5Ghz frequency.

Jagjyot
Hi @jagjyothans,
The usual Wi-Fi channels that we recommend are 1, 6 and 11.
Kindly test those channels and let us know how it goes.
Thanks!
Hi Ahra,
Thanks for the response.
However, the channels you mentioned are for 2.4Ghz. The problem that I have is with 5Ghz.
For 5Ghz, I tried to set it to 44 channel and it still drops out continuosly.
Let me know if I am missing something here.

Jagjyot

May I know your most convenient time to receive a call tomorrow?
Hi Ahra,
Thanks for getting back to me.
The problem is solved with the new modem and it is working as expected.
If I encounter any further problems I will update you about it.
