I am thinking about purchasing two ASUS routers.
Can I be assured that it will work with my FTTN connection before I purchase it.
I'm looking to buy two of them so i can connect two into a mesh at home.
Thanks
Kathryn
Hi @KatieLou
The model you mentioned is a router only device.
For the NBN FTTN technology, you need a VDSL modem/router.
If you are under the NBN bundled with VoIP plan, then you need to configure it with the VLAN ID 2 and PPPoE connection.
If data only plan, then you can just configure it with the PPPoE connection.

Hi BasilDV,
I hope you are well and wondering if you can help me with this:
I am thinking change my ISP to TPG with nbn 100 and get this router ASUS RT-AX53U. The connecion type I have is HFC. From its specs the router does support wifi 6, pppoe and has gigabit ports. So it should compatible with TPG's internet, am I right?
Thank you in advance.
Regards,
TY
Hey taouyu0328,
We can confirm that the ASUS RT-AX53U is compatible with HFC connections.
