Router failure

Tonight my tplink v1600 seems to have failed. Can't access network or internet, wireless not working... wifi analyser intermittently sees the device but it loses connection. Phone occasionally sees it but cannot access internet. Was unable to access the router setup via a browser for a while but can access it now, all looks fine but cannot access internet. Get a message in browser via both wireless on phone and computer on ethernet that says " Your newly installed broadband equipment is waiting to be automatically configured.
You do not need to do anything just now, but if this message stays for more than 30 minutes try rebooting the modem/router and waiting a few minutes. If this message continues to persist, you should contact the Helpdesk of your Internet service provider."
Had this modem router for years with no problems.
Please help.
Cheers, Wayne

Hi @Wanga

Thanks for raising this to our attention.

We've tested the line and was not able to detect any fault within the NBN network.

We understand that the router is online and working within specification.

Let us know if you need further assistance.

Thanks.

The modem/router seems to have righted itself after a few hours. Some wierd kind of glitch I guess!

Are you able to look into my other post about our internet shutting off every day at 10.06am?

Cheers,

Wayne

Hi @Wanga

Did you experience the issue every day? The connection shows stable as of the moment.

Did you notice any changes in the light status of the modem/router?

Hi Basil,

Here is my original post:

My fixed wireless internet cuts off at 10.06am every single morning (11.06 during daylight savings). It's been happening for over a year.

Sometimes it reconnects after a minute, other times in ten or more minutes.

Sometimes I have to either restart my computer or restart the NBN box and router.

I have tried using a different router than the supplied tplink v1600 and the same thing happens - so it's not the router. There's something at the transmitter level that is causing this.

It usually happens in the middle of a Zoom meeting or something important.

Just to add, the NBN connection box always displays a red light on the outdoor unit indicator during these dropouts. Again, it reconnects on its own sometimes and other times I have to reboot it.

Here is the log from the router for that time this morning (note the 10:07 mark):

AS I said, it happens every day at 10.06am - it literally just happened a few minutes ago.

Awesome, thank you!
Personally, I think this a problem at the tower that provides the fixed wireless signal.

I've spoken to neghbours who are on FW via other providers and they have the same issue.

Cheers,

W.

No one has contacted me about this. Still waiting for a call. And for some reason my home phone has been disconnected!
