Get online support
The customised TPG software on the Archer vr1600v router (0.1.0 0.9.1 v5006.0 Build 190228 Rel.72265n) has a number of default ports open and has disabled the ability to change / add NAT forwarding options.
How can I get this changed? I would like control over my network and only wish to use TPG as my ISP.
If TPG will not change the router, can I get my own router and obtain the settings required to set up the WAN connection.?
Regards
Doug
For VR1600 portforwarding article was posted above this thread, https://community.tpg.com.au/t5/Modems-and-Devices/Port-Forwarding-on-the-TP-Link-VR1600V/td-p/1814 this might help you. Unfortunately some feature of the original modem/router is not available coz of TPG optimized the firmware of it's supplied modem/router.
If you wish to connect a router extension to TPG's supplied modem/router might wanna check this https://community.tpg.com.au/t5/Modems-and-Devices/Are-the-Tpg-routers-DHCP-compatible/m-p/25448#M25....
