Unifi express struggling to make it work, any suggestions?
Got the cable modem, unifi Express directly conected to wan port, unify set to PPPoE
Vlan2, username, and password.
It seems lite it is connected but no trafic, upload/download shoving on the unifi screen.
Any other settings that have to be enabled?

Hi @martinb . What type of NBN connection do you have?
Are you on Bundled NBN/VOIP plan (even if you don't use the phone), or Data Only plan.

In looking through the manual, VLAN is mentioned in several places. In what section are you setting VLAN?

@martinb . If you are on FTTP, VLAN setting is not used.

On the PPPoE screen, have you disabled WAN2 port?

Any clues in the Unifi system log?

Is the Unifi replacing an existing router on a working connection?

With cable modem I understand it is PPPoE
I couldn't see any option to disable WAN2,
Will have to check that again.
Not sure about the system log.
Yes , the unifi express should be replacing the TPG router.

In the manual I have, the WAN2 option is on the same screen as where you set PPPoE. Maybe your Express model is a cut down variant.

On the TPG router (VR or VX models), you can check the ewan_pppoe interface for settings: VLAN ID, username, password.
