Unstable Archer VR1600v v2 00000000 - no longer supports Ethernet clients reliably

My Archer VR1600v v2 00000000 (0.1.0 0.9.1 v5006.0 Build 200810 Rel.53181n) worked reliably for a number of years supporting wired clients. I used a different device as the wireless client. A few weeks ago, the wired clients stopped working. I tried many things including removing all wired clients, resetting all devices etc. Eventually I removed the wireless access point and turned the wireless on the archer back on …. the wifi on this is slow… but it was working.

I have since lost wired clients again.

Could this be a firmware issue? Any other suggestions?

Hi @Clifton2

Have you performed a factory reset with the TPG provided modem/router?

Are you using all of the LAN ports of the modem/router? If yes, all of the devices connected to it lost the connection or just some?

Hi - yes I did a factory reset a few weeks ago. All Ethernet ports are used.

I did a full power down & restart earlier and it is working now, but it will likely stop at some point in next 48 hours.

Hi @Clifton2

The only affected devices were the ones connected via Wired, right?

Shoot me a PM with your TPG username or customer ID number to assist you further.
