Upgrade Router supply by TPG

Hi , I have plan to upgrade the router that supplied by TPG (AR1600v2) to

TP-Link AX6000 Next-Gen Wi-Fi Router (AX6000)

Can anyone help me whether it is possible ? What will the setup be if change over?

Hi @andrewtkb . If you are FTTB or FTTN, you have to set VR1600 in bridge mode and connect AX6000 to it.

AX6000 settings are PPPoE, username and password.

 

Otherwise, AX6000 connects to NBN box.

AX6000 settings are PPPoE, username and password.

If your VR1600 config has VLAN ID=2, this iiNet article describes how to do it on AX6000 for FTTC and HFC.
