Hi,

Just wondering if its possible to use different providers for dynamic DNS on the VR1600v. I want to use it with my google domain.

It looks like its possible on other tp-link models, though I supect ones not provided by the service porvider.

Is it possible that a firmware upgrade would add this functionality?

Hi @Vlietstra,

Welcome to the Community!

There is actually a section for Dynamic DNS with the TP-Link VR1600v. You can see it under Advanced Tab > Network.

Yeah, but the only providers are Dyndns and no-ip. I’d like to set it up with my google domain account.

It looks to be an option on the factory software. I have it setup on my server at home to update but it’d be nice if I could do it directly from the router.

Hi @Vlietstra,

It appears that TP-Link only provides DynDNS and No-IP as options. If you check the following links from the TP-Link website, it only showed the said options:

https://www.tp-link.com/au/support/faq/2269/

https://www.tp-link.com/au/support/faq/1153/?utm_medium=select-local

There are some models that has a 3rd option which is TP-Link DNS. Just like this example:
