Wi-Fi slow 2.4ghz

Hi, 2.4ghz on our modem is really slow but I’ve moved it to 5ghz and it seems faster. However I’ve tried to add a Wi-Fi booster (D-link brand) to expand the Wi-Fi coverage in the house. I can set up the Wi-Fi booster but it says there’s no internet connection. It’s connected to the modem via an Ethernet cable.

We’ve had a TPG technician come out and he couldn’t figure out what was wrong with the 2.4ghz. Wondering if the problem with 2.4ghz has also impacted the D-link booster recognising any internet.

Had anyone had any issues similar to this?

Hi @Gregdamuss,

Was there any line fault detected?

The TPG tech will normally check the line for any line fault however for any equipment concern, we can try basic troubleshooting.

Let's check the assessment on your account. Kindly provide us with your Customer ID/username via private message so we can pull up your account.

Thanks!
