WiFi timer

Hello TPG Community,

I would like to be able to set a timer for the home internet to stop at night time to discourage my kids from playing games all night.

Can you please let me know how I go about this please?

Many Thanks

Lina Galea

Hi @linagalea . Some routers have a wifi schedule. What model router do you have?

Hi, My model is Archer VR1600v. Which model has it, if this doesn't have a timer?

-Can I request for it?

- Is there another way to set a timer?

- Which model has a firewall?

Thanks

Hi @Joz . To set wifi timer, login to router's admin.

Click Advanced, Wireless, Wireless Schedule.

Click on the button symbol to activate it. Enter the times you want wifi turned off. Click on  ?  for help.

The VR1600 has a basic firewall in Advanced, Security. What are you wanting it to do?

@Joz . Regarding parental controls,  TPG may have modified them. The VR1600 manual has info on it. Download from TP-Link.
