Our NBN & wifi modem have been moved to a connection in another room not far from the previous location. The NBN modem has DSL connected however on the wifi modem the DSL will not connect hence we cannot use our mobiles/laptop/smart tv apps on wifi. Why is this happening and how can this be fixed? Thank you

@Roscoruby15 . The white NBN box connects by phone cable to wall socket. An ethernet cable goes from NBN box to VR1600. If this is not the case, you aren't on FTTC.

If the telephone cable goes from wall socket to DSL port on VR1600, it is FTTN, and the NBN box is not used. If it is FTTN and DSL light is off, means the second wall socket is not connected to the first outlet.

Hi @Roscoruby15 . Do you have FTTC connection? (White NBN box with 4 blue lights.)

So, DSL light (3rd light) is on.

Ethernet cable goes from NBN box to WAN port on wifi router.

What model number is the router?

Can you move everything back to other room to test your connections?

Before you had NBN, could you use a phone in both of these outlets?

There is 4 blue lights on the NBN box and DSL is blue. Router model Archer VR 1600 V Ver:2.0. All works on the previous socket. Phone definitely worked on the previous outlet however not 100% sure on the current outlet as we never had a phone connected to the socket. We have never had an Ethernet cable with NBN.
