@Roscoruby15 . The white NBN box connects by phone cable to wall socket. An ethernet cable goes from NBN box to VR1600. If this is not the case, you aren't on FTTC.
If the telephone cable goes from wall socket to DSL port on VR1600, it is FTTN, and the NBN box is not used. If it is FTTN and DSL light is off, means the second wall socket is not connected to the first outlet.
Hi @Roscoruby15 . Do you have FTTC connection? (White NBN box with 4 blue lights.)
So, DSL light (3rd light) is on.
Ethernet cable goes from NBN box to WAN port on wifi router.
What model number is the router?
Can you move everything back to other room to test your connections?
Before you had NBN, could you use a phone in both of these outlets?
