tp-link AX5400 Model VX420 Setup query

After setting up my modem, it keeps saying it is waiting for auto configuration, however it’s said this for hours on end, we have tried factory resetting, turning it on and off, as well as trying to access the link 9.xxx link that is shown in the manual for manual configuration but this page never works.

Hi @ellabrindley5 . On your computer, do    ipconfig    command, or, on wifi device, tap the connection, to show the ip address of your device. It will usually be like 192.168.x.y. 

The router's address will then be 192.168.x.1. 

Put this address into your browser.

Hi David thanks for your reply however the page when using the IP address never loads

@ellabrindley5 . From your computer, can you ping the ip address of the VX420?

If that works, try     telnet  VX420ipaddress  80

Insert VX420 ip address in the command above.

You should get a blank window when Windows connects to the web server.

Press enter a few times to exit.

If ping fails or telnet fails, there is a problem with VX.
