Connect TP-Link Deco M4 to NBN HFC

Hi,

I'm trying to connect my wifi mesh system (TP-Link Deco M4) to NBN HFC with no luck so far.

I want to use the wifi mesh in router mode meaning I want it to connect directly to the NBN black box/modem. I don't want to go through the TPG router as it doesn't seem necessary.

To clarify this is what I want to achieve:

Internet ----> NBN black box ---> wifi mesh

and NOT this:

Internet ----> NBN black box ---> TPG router ---> wifi mesh

So far I've tried setting VLAN ID to 2 in the Deco but no luck. Still no internet.

Could you please advise the settings for the TP-Link Deco M4 (or just settings in general for any router) to connect to NBN HFC?

  The best and quickest way is to contact google nest community or call the mesh support team 

they will go through the steps
