Eero Pro 6 tri band

Hi, I want to use my new Eero Pro 6 Tri-band router instead of the TPG router. Can you let me know the step or configuration I need to use to enable my Eero router to connect to the TPG-provided NBN modem?

Hi @dennishyu

Do you know if you are under the NBN bundled with VoIP service or NBN data only plan?

If you are under the bundled VoIP service, you need to make sure that your device supports VLAN ID tagging.

If you are under the Data only plan, then you just need to configure the PPPoE on the Eero Pro 6 with your TPG username and password.

In order to check this further, kindly send us a private message with your account details.

Hi @jeksng28 ,

TPG NBN-FTTN requires VDSL2+ modem/router the Eero Pro 6 tri band will not work with FTTN connection.

What if I plug the Eero into the TPG supplied modem?

That will work, the Eero will serve as a router extension. You may do this by connecting the router LAN to LAN from the TPG modem and change the router's connection mode to DHCP/Automatically get IP address.
