Power Cord

Hi,
We have just moved into a rental and the NBN connection box has no power cord, no wall socket cord and no gateway cord. All the cords are missing. How do we go about getting these cords replaced so our internet will work?

Hi @rosiedarke1986 . What type of NBN connection box do you have?

You might be able to buy the cables this weekend instead of waiting until during the week.

Thanks for replying. It won’t let me attach photos but it says on the box FTTC Network connection box. It has a 3 prong power, a wall socket and gateway

@rosiedarke1986 . The FTTC box (white box, 4 blue lights) uses standard RJ11 telephone cable to connect to wall socket. Take the box with you to get the correct shape power cable. Use a CAT5e ethernet cable between FTTC box and wifi router. You can get these from computer or electronics shop.

Have you been notified by TPG that your connection is up and running? If not, you may prefer to wait rather than buy the cables. Send a private message to a moderator.

If you do buy the cables, you'd be justified ro take them with you next time you move.

Hey @rosiedarke1986, if you still need a hand getting the cables organised, you can send me a private message.
