Strange voice on incoming calls.

Since connecting to NBN, when the phone rings and before the answering machine message begins, we can here a female voice saying something about email and reading out a list of numbers. The caller does not hear this and if we pick up the phone we just get the caller. It is not part of the outgoing message that we recorded. Where should I look for a solution, NBN, TPG or Uniden?

I would suggest if you are hearing the female voice before you even pick up the phone, that it is coming from the Uniden phone itself.

If possible try testing with a different phone.

Thanks Peter; but it would have to be an answering machine. A neighbour thinks it has to be coming from the exchange. So who is the exchange now; TPG, Telstra or NBN?
