Use Archer 1600 v2 Modem with my Upgrade from FTTC to FTTP?

Hi - can my existing modem (as the title) be used with my imminent connection upgrade from FTTC to FTTP?

Is there a set of instructions for any cabling or modem configuration changes required?

Will this modem limit my connection quality/speed?

thanks

Hi @robertjw

Since they both use EWAN connection, you just need to make sure that the correct PPPoE username and password is configured.

Also, you may need to disable the VLAN ID since it is not needed with the FTTP technology.

If you are planning to get the 250 Mbps speed plan, the said modem/router can support it based on its specification.
