What tp link has these modem details? Modem model: VX420-G2V
I have the TPG supplied VX420-G2h and I am more than happy with it.
On FTTN (my previous system) it received the internet by copper into the DSL port, and acted as a modem/router (switch)/WAP/and also had an ATA for VOIP.
On FTTP (my new system), the modem part is actually in the NBN NDT (you could prove that by linking a laptop straight to the NTD) and the ethernet out (Uni-D) goes into the 420 WAN port, still using the router/switch/WAP functions. The VOIP now is connected straight to the NTD Uni-V port.
Lovely multi-use device.
One useful function of the TP-Link that I much valued on FTTN: when the DSL link dropped (which it often did with a long copper run with numeous flaky joints) the router would reset iteslf without needing a power reboot.
I also like the fact that the WAP antennae are internal instead of sticking out like an upturned octupus!
