new NBN set up

I have had my NBN registration finalised.  I have had payment finalised.  I have received my modem in the mail.  I keep getting messages to plug in modem to activate my NBN.   I have done this and there is no service to my house.   I need a technician to come out and connect the NBN from curb to my house otherwise I cannot get any connection.  My neighbour just had their TPG technician out this week to cnnect their NBN with no problems.  When will my technician be booked in.

Ive tried to communicate within the live chat for the past week and keep getting a message saying that try again due to high volume.
