Lost SIM card to number I’m trying to port over

I ordered a SIM card without a number not realising I have accidentally lost the SIM card to the number I wanted to port over so I won’t actually get any texts during the porting process.
How do I get a new number on the TPG SIM so I can activate it and use it?
