Sim card not working

Hi I have been with TPG for a while now but on Friday last week my phone stopped being able to receive calls and i couldnt ring out. Then i couldnt send or receive SMS. On the support site i have spoken to someone about it now for 5 days - today is day 6 without a phone and I keep being told it has escalated but havent heard anything else. I am a parent of sick children and it is dangerous for me not to have a phone. I want to know what is going on.
