Sim not working

Can anybody help. Mobile phone was working perfectly fine this morning then suddenly I noticed there is no connection and it shows no sim. Can’t make calls or send messages

I’ve tried turning the phone off & on, removed the sim and placing it back, trying the sim on on other unlocked phone

If you are still getting the No SIM error on another handset, then it may have become faulty.
