Unable to make or receive calls

I activated my new SIM. I can use data and send/receive text messages, but am unable to make or recieve calls. I followed all the troubleshooting steps, restarting phone, etc. I have 4G, signal and am in a coverage area. I have a Samsung Galaxy A7 SMG930F. I could make/receive calls with my previous provider. Can the issue be resolved? Thank you.

Have you checked if your device has VoLTE? You can check this link for reference: https://support.tpg.com.au/voice-over-lte-volte

Hi, if my handset does not have VoLTE does that mean I cannot use a TPG sim to make and receive phone calls? Thank you.

Yes, @rish-pr 

 

You will not be able to use the voice service of your TPG SIM, but the Data and Text messages should still work.
