No internet again

My internet was working flawlessly then at 1130pm it just stopped. Solid red light on modem, the modem is set up correctly and has been cycled and all info for router is correct. 2nd time in 5 days and when I talk to a service technician magically it comes back on after being told it is my router not having the right configuration.
