FttB Routing Issues affecting Blizzard / Battle.net network

Hello,

Just bringing attention to an issue that seems to be affecting Black Ops 4. I am frequently finding myself in 200+ ping servers and looking into it found iinet users also get the same issue. I have confirmed when in a party with other local players, most get 40ms, while im on 200.

This seems to affect TPG FttB, not the nbn product.

The issue occurs when routing to the Blizzard OCE servers, in particular 37.244.43.204.

Tracing route to 37.244.43.204 over a maximum of 30 hops

Trace complete.

Hop 15 should resolve locally at 20-30ms, not 180. I believe this is something to do with the return journey going to singapore or US west before returning!

A friend of mine and I are still having the same issue every 15-30 minutes. I'm in Sydney and he is from Melbourne. We're both with TPG and we both get disconnected at the exact same time. If you check Battle-Net outages https://aussieoutages.com/status/battle-net

You can see this is a frequent occurance. The issue has not been resolved. The users in the comment section also mention they're with TPG.

Hi @vasili,

Welcome to TPG Community!

We are aware of the issue that our customers have been experiencing in connecting to battle.net/blizzard online games at night time. However, we can't identify the root cause of the issue as of the moment as we need more evidence.

Since it only occurs at night time, we need your help to run some test for us to analyze this further. Can you please run a tracert and continuous ping test to the battle.net server once you've experienced it tonight? This will help our network engineers investigation of the issue. You may send it via PM to me.

Kind regards,

BasilDV
