I have just had my NBN connected. I am/was with Telstra for home phone, but want to disconnect it as we dont use it and just use mobile phones for calls. Is this OK to disconnect with Telstra or do I have to stay with them because they own the line. Pardon my ignorance, but am a bit confused.

I have just moved over to TPG NBN from Chariot (owned by TPG), as they don't provide NBN and it is being connected soon in my area. Was just wondering if TPG will cancel my Chariot account, or will I have to do that? I dont think Im having phone connected on new NBN service as will use mobile phone for that.
