Replying here as per my commitment the other day. So since about two days ago my 5G wifi has been working fine. I made no changes to the settings and nothing in my house changed, but wifi hasn’t dropped out once. The TOG technician came and told me that 5G is highly susceptible to interference and that if nothing in my house had changed it could have been interference from nearby. This feels unlikely to me, but as the issue is resolved I’m not complaining. To confirm I’m still on the firmware version which came with the modem to begin with. Hi @Shane ,   I just received the call from TPG. The woman I spoke to said her team is not aware of any new firmware, and does not offer firmware updates. She offered to send a technician to check the connection but that is contingent on both approval from her managers, and the technician being able to come given Covid lockdown.   Can I just check a few facts: 1. I'm assuming you speak officiall yfor TPG (i.e you are an employee). Is that correct? 2. Is there in fact a new firmware version? 3. Who can provide this? It's not on the manufacturer's website so I'm assuming it's TPG. 4. How do I go about getting this from TPG? Hi I’m experiencing this same issue. Been with TPG for ages and never had an issue. Then moved house, signed up for a new account at my new address* and received a new modem which is exhibiting the 5G drop out. Exactly the same as described by all other users on this thread. Interesting thing is the old modem which never had this issue was also an Archer vr1600 but V1. New one is v2. * Both connections needed to overlap for a month as we were between homes ... View more
