@rrajagopal that is great news it worked for you as a work-around. I am also doing the same thing until a fix is provided with Sagemcom firmware update. I am very sure we are not the only ones with this issue as so so many people use Google Home devices and would be signing up to this TPG offer!

Hi @fkschoond - I was PM'ed some instructions from @BasilDV that help with using the TP Link VR1600v as an AP - hope this helps. Main part was when logged into the router: Under 'Advanced' tab go to 'Network' tab under Network tab go to 'EWAN' page. You need to disable the VLAN ID (Uncheck) then set the Internet connection type to Dynamic IP and click on 'Save' https://community.tpg.com.au/t5/Modems-and-Devices/Archer-vr1600v-as-access-point/m-p/37915#M4346

Hi @fkschoond I had the exact same issue when the Google Home app updated. Check via Play Store when it last updated as I feel that Google changed something in the Home app with the security. The 5G Sagemcom router seems to not play nice and my money is on AP Isolation which cannot be disabled in the config or to do with the WPA-3 security. After lots of troubleshooting, I just connected up my TP link router as an access point and use it for Wi-Fi and disable the WiFi on the Sagemcom. Key thing to note is when AP Isolation is ON on the TP Link the same error occurs with Google Home App not allowing control of the devices. As soon as I turn it OFF again in the TP Link settings, everything plays nicely again :) Really hoping for a Sagemcom firmware update soon to be able to turn AP Isolation OFF :)

As the Sagemcom Fast 5866T 5G modem is unable to have AP Isolation turned off in it's settings - the solution for me here was to just connect another router with the same SSID and PW that all my devices recognised, and connected the new TP Link router from the LAN of the Sagemcom to the WAN of the TP Link. The TP Link had AP Isolation turned off as default in the settings, so all my Google Chromecast, Android TV, Home Mini were all accessible to cast to from smart phones for YouTube, Google Photos, Spotify etc etc The router I have connected is the TP Link Archer C24 AC750 model. A big thank you to @BasilDV for all the support in investigating the Sagemcom settings!

Hi @Anonymous I am having the same issue with disabling the AP on my Sagemcom 5866T modem 5G I am also having issues with casting from Pixel and Samsung phones to Chromecasts and Android TV and I have the same router. Cheers, Brad

Hi, I signed up to the TPG 5G Home Broadband Premium a few months ago for $64.99 as an existing customer (normally $69.99) which has a cap at 100Mbps download. I get 20 Mbps upload on this speed. At the time, they were also offering a 5G Home Broadband Max option for $74.99 for existing customers or $79.99 for new customers. This was uncapped speeds. I have noticed tonight the 5G Home Broadband Premium option is still there for $64.99 for new or existing customers capped at 100 Mbps. But the Max uncapped option is no longer available, and there is a new 5G Home Broadband Plus option for $59.99 for new or existing customers capped at 50 Mbps. Does anyone know how fast the upload speed is for the new Plus option for $59.99 a month? https://www.tpg.com.au/5g-home-broadband Cheers, Brad

Hi @Dann , I did have NBN and that was switched off today - now on 5G Home Wireless (discounted $65 a month for 100Mbps plan). If I was to add 2 mobile sim only plans to that account, would I be eligable for both to be the 25GB plan at $20 a month each? Happy to PM you more info if needed. Cheers, Brad

Hi, Just curious to if I add a TPG Mobile Plan to my existing 5G Home Broadband service, how many numbers/mobile services can I add to obtain the discount rate. Eg wanting to add the 25GB Mobile plan for $20 (normally $25), would I be able to add 2 of these (2 numbers) for $40? Cheers, Brad

Hi guys, Just checking that it is perfectly normal that I needed to create a new TPG username/password when moving from my 8 year old TPG account (used for ADSL and NBN) and moving to the new 5G Home Broadband? Would it not have been possible to add the 5G Home Broadband to my existing TPG username/password? Cheers, Brad
