We have a landline connected to TPG NBN FTTC. We USED to be Telstra customers for this communication requirement.   SINCE we have been on the NBN the amount of SPAM/SCAM calls coming thru on our landline, from overseas, in particular is just ridiculous. Some days I would call it FEROCIOUS.   Have the +66 or +64 Intl dialing codes. We KNOW NO-ONE in those areas. Matter of a fact we know only TWO people overseas who would CALL us, one's in Thailand and ONLY uses Viber to call us, and the other is in Nigeria and he ONLY uses Messenger to call us.   The volume of these calls is steadiily, and rapidly, increasing. WOW – long story I'll try and shorten. Not a complaint – but after your thoughts please.   I ordered NBN100 thru TPG with line porting package. I ordered NBN to be on my HOME PHONE line of 9*****61. My, then current dedicated TPG ADSL line is 9*****48   When my NBN NCD and modem turned up, and on advice from TPG, I plugged all into the 9*****61 line. NO NBN.   Ordered TPG techo to come out to house. Did yesterday. Great service - turned up on time - fantastic! Tested 9*****61. NO NBN active. Put an order in for NBN tech to come to house to "finish their work" on Feb 12.   Got home last night and tried NBN NCD and router on my (then) dedicated ADSL line 9*****48. WORKED. I called TPG and they helped me configure the actual router with my correct password, waited whilst I wifi connected all my devices incl Foxtel, everything fine – great service.   SO NBN IS connected to WRONG line.   Porting???? CAN my old phone number (which I NEED to keep) of 9*****61 BE ported to the line that was (from Telstra's perspective) 9*****48?   TPG called me today to say sorry about delay .. again great follow up, but the girl (CES is her name) was very surprised when I said "well, NBN is working, but not on line I wanted. It's on 9*****48".   She said well, NBNCO will see that you are on NBN tonight (takes 24 hours from connection) and port your number.   I said port 9*****61 across to what was a telstra line of 9******48?   Oh no, you'll be phone number of 9*****48.   I said no. Just cancel the PORTING. Just give me NBN and I'll stay on Telstra on 9*****61.   "Sorry can't happen, can't stop the porting part of order"   She said wait, went to speak to techos, and came back and said, "we'll cancel your existing order and replace with new one and BY TONIGHT all will be well on 9*****61 line. Unplug everything from where it is now (9*****48) and plug it into 9*****61 line and porting will occur".      In any event CAN THAT happen that quick given 9*****61 WAS NOT connected to/by NBN and I was going to have to wait til Feb 12 FOR NBNCO to come to house to "finish their work on 9*****61", per the NBN tech in our house yesterday?????   If you CAN cancel original order, which I have received email confirmation HAS occurred, WHY CAN'T the new order you're raising cancel not mention porting at all and just be for NBN on 9*****48 which is where it is and working?   Really happy to simply stay on NBN on 9*****48 and Telstra on 9*****61 ...but....can't.. ... Try and post this again - can't find post i did earlier today. Waited over 4 years for NBN in my little pocket of Baldivis WA that new areas all around me in same suburb  got from day 1. Got email from TPG Oct to say get in early with order NBN coming. Ordered NBN100 straight away Got email from TPG to say your area active Jan 4 Got email Jan 5 to say delay Got email from iiNET on Jan 12 to say we can provide it NOW. Sent TPG a question as to avaialbilty same day. Responded YES. I authorised porting of phone to TPG. Got email Jan 14 to say all good and install ordered. Get email Jan 16 to say goods en route. Received Jan 17 Got text Jan 18 saying you've got modem etc, connect up. Couldn't - at work Got text Jan 19 saying you've got modem etc, connect up. Couldn't - out all day Got text Jan 20 saying you've got modem etc, connect up. TRIED. Nothing worked NCD has hard Blue power light, and flashing NBN COnnection light. Neither WAN or DSL lights on in any colour. Modem has hard green power, 2.4gz,5gz and LAN lights. But no INTErNET ligh. I have no phone.  Called this morning for support and advised, after 'troubleshooting' that a TPG techo would call within 2 days to then make appointment to come out to see me - when??? In this day and age is that good enought? Technically we could make,and keep, appointments electronically immediately couldn't we? To have to sit and wait for 'up to 2 days' for a call to make an appointment is pretty ridiculous. Been with TPG since 1996ish. Never had a complaint. BUT really upset with this.   ... View more

I have been anxiously awaiting NBN at my address in Baldivis for years as all new parts of the estate, within 100 meters of my 15 year 'old' house, have had it, but my little pocket in the estate went without for some reason UNTIL....   I got an email out of the blue on OCT 18 from you (you bewdy!) saying order now, get in early, YOUR area will be NBN ready on JANUARY 4, just 2 1/2 mths down the track.   I promptly ordered NBN100, realising of course NBN ready and Activation and Supply are all diffrrent dates.   Happy Days.   On January 5 got an email from you stating NBN delyed a short while. No problem. Sort of expected.   On January 12 I get an email from iiNET saying NBN IS available now in my house at a ridulous "we want YOUR business price". I send YOU an email asking if true.   Yes, January 12 you email me back saying yes, my Application can now proceed and asking for authorisation to port my number from telstra to you. Done.   January 13 you write back saying order proceeding and instalation progressing.   January 16 yuo write email saying goods despatched. THEY ARRIVE January 17.   January 18 you text saying PLUG it in all good to go! I can't I am out for the day at work.   January 19 you text saying plug it all in all good to go!  I can't I am out for the day.   January 20 you text saying Plug it in all good to go. I plug it in. NOTHING WORKS   THE NCD is hard blue power light, and flashing BLUE connection light. No DSL or LAN blue lights at all. No other colours.   The Modem has a power light, 2.4, 5gz and WAN lights hard green and no internet light.   No amount of reseting, repowering or rebooting has/is helped.   Of course, PLUG my phone back into socket in lieu of new NCD, and now no phone either.   Called yesterday Jan 20 - 30 minutes after you're closed. No problem - understand you have to go home sometimes!   Phone you at 0600am PERTH time today, get Christine who asks if I plugged it all in, restarted, reset etc and then just says "We will need to get a techo out - you may wait 2 days for a call". Again, not her problem, but 2 days just to get a call to then make an appointment that might be - when? Today we live in an automated world- appointments should be able to be made on the spot. Don't you think? Or is only because I live in the outpost that is Perth?  ;-)   I have been with tpgi since about 1996-7. Never ever had an issue.
