It turned out that I had the same problem. I only found out because TPG (after 4 weeks of trying to resolve the problem of no internet, and them telling me that 54 customers were affected by an issue at the local exchange) finally arranged for an NBN technician to visit my house. The technician immediately told me that the NBN modem had been damaged by storms (like many other customers). and replaced the box. Lo and behold, my interner service was up and running again!   My question is: with all the remore diagnostics that are available to them and also NBN technicians - why could TPG technicians not detect this somehow AND TELL ME MUCH EARLIER so I didn't have to pay for weeks of a non-existent service!
