For all who come across this topic: After providing account details to remote support, they suggested plugging a PC directly into the NBN box. After doing so, speeds reached those advertised. When I switched back to the router, the speeds persisted. Not sure if anything was changed on TPG side, or just the fact it re-authenticated through the PC was enough to trigger something, but happy to consider this resolved.

Hi, I recently upgraded my NBN plan from NBN50 Unlimited Data at 50/14 to NBN Home Ultrafast Unlimited Data at 800/40. The upload speed looks to have increased to 40Mbps, but the download still appears to be shaped at 50Mbps.
