Thanks - that's a good start.   I noticed in the exchange earlier this month between Moderator Kate and @tk733 that @tk733 referred to setting up his new modem. His original query was almost identical to mine. It appears that he may have obtained a new modem to gain improved performance, although it could be because of the intermittent disconnections that he mentioned.   Is that a possible solution for me also? Could I expect improved performance from our home network by replacing the VR1600 modem, given that it's at least 8 years old? ... View more
