My Archer modem is several years old - Archer VR1600v v1.1
Firmware 0.1.0 0.9.1 v5006.0 Build 220518 Rel.32480n
I note from multiple posts here that there are many builds since that version. Am I able to obtain an upgrade?
Thanks - that's a good start.
I noticed in the exchange earlier this month between Moderator Kate and @tk733 that @tk733 referred to setting up his new modem. His original query was almost identical to mine. It appears that he may have obtained a new modem to gain improved performance, although it could be because of the intermittent disconnections that he mentioned.
Is that a possible solution for me also? Could I expect improved performance from our home network by replacing the VR1600 modem, given that it's at least 8 years old?
Since your modem is 8 years old, you could potentially see an improvement in your performance if you upgrade your modem.
