Just like others I have ditched the Archer for an Netgear Router/Modem and all is well, dont have VOIP but dont need it, goodluck everybody.

Looks like the UPnP service is not triggering when the XBOX boots.

There's a problem with the Archer VR1600V where on boot up the XBOX is not able to get an ethernet connection to the Archer. Despite doing everything including allocating an IP outside the DHCP range and reserving that IP plus placing said IP in a DMZ the Archer refuses to play nice. The only way to get a reliable connection is to make sure the Archer is off before the XBOX boots up then power up the Archer, far from ideal.

Can the TPG engineer investigating this problem chime in on this, looks like this has been put in the too hard basket. For the record my XBOX has an allocated IP outside the DHCP range and is placed in the DMZ yet still requires multiple booting of the Archer to get the XBOX to connect.

i guess this still hasnt been resolved as Im a new customer with my xbox refusing to connect to the Archer VR1600v. Poor form TPG.
