I cancelled my internet plan today as i have found a cheaper monthly price with iinet.
When cancelling on the phone i was told that i needed to give 30 days notice and would be charged another month.
The plan i signed up for was no contract and said it could be cancelled at any time. In all the emails i have received from TPG it does not state anywhere that you need to give 30 days notice. There is also nothing online that states this.
This goes against consumer law and i would like this reveresed and not to be charged for an additional 30 days.
Considering that TPG also owns iinet so im still signed up with the same company.
Hi @retta0011,
When you are outside contract, you can cancel the account without any termination fees. However, you are required to provide us at least 30 days notice and the service has to be paid up to the end of the notice period.
Please send us a private message and we'll pull up your account.
