Ability to disable Multi-Factor Authentication

Please tell me this isn't compulsory. I'm assuming you'll give me a spiel about changes to the telecommunications legislation blah blah, but I personally find this additional security a complete waste of time. It isn't rocket science porting your victims phone number... That's how bank accounts are compromised... 🙄

Our customers' security and privacy is something that is very important to us. We are continuously working on our security processes to protect our customers.

 

At this point, MFA via SMS is the only option available. We do appreciate your feedback and we'll definitely take this on board.

G'day mate,
Is it possible to change the MFA to be able to turn it off in the app, or at least give us the ability to set it to remember us for a customisable time?
For example: If I set it to 24 hours then I'll log in, and use the SMS code once, then I leave the app, and come back, I just need to log in, but not have to use the MFA for the next 24 hours, or another time that suits the user.
Currently, I log in to the app, and have to wait for the MFA, then remember it (depending on how I'm feeling, and my meds, I sometimes forget it too quickly), and enter it into the field. Then I'll select an option in the menu, and do what I do, then I'll hit the back button and have to log in again, and have to go through the MFA process again. I just paid my bill, which had me logging in 6 times within 5 minutes, which is overkill, and a complete waste of my time, and SMS messages, just for a simple task.
An alternative if that's something that the powers that be don't want to give us that option, is to make the app auto detect the code in incoming sms messages like many other apps are doing these days. And if that's not an option either, then someone needs to fix the app as it's obviously buggy, and shouldn't ask me to log in every time I hit the back button.

Also, in the app, the support link is buggy as it gets stuck in a log in loop when clicking it, and I had to use my browser to find help.

Hey @stevend3, our app does not have the option to increase the time between verification. We'll make sure to pass this feedback on to the relevant team so they can continue to make improvements 😊
