Keeping email account after porting NBN service away

To whom it may concern,
My NBN service was ported from TPG to another provider today and it seems that I have lost access to my TPG email account via Post Office, even though I specifically requested to keep the email access as an IMAP service for $40/year in the cancellation notice. Please advise course of action.
