moving to another provieder

archer VR1600v ver2.0

Hi i have above modem with TPG on 50/20 plan. is this easy to configured for same plan 50/20 with ALG, the modern i am told is unlooked.

How easy is it to do? . Any tricks? . i am not a IT expert, know how to access the settings in the modem.

I think you're asking the wrong person.  I doubt that the provider you are leaving will help you with something you want to do because you're going to a new ISP

You didn't provide any details on the modem you have only the plan, so not very helpful

Best you find out what modem you have and google how to unlock "xx" modem, that should do the job

I suspect it would be through the modem webpage but google will tell you

@Chrisg08 . You should be able to configure the Archer using settings provided by ALG.

But, you won't be able to update the firmware in the future (unlikely to be necessary). TP-Link doesn't provide any. They do have a manual for the original release. TPG have removed some functions.

The VOIP function is locked to TPG's VOIP server so that won't work.
