I'd like to know if this device would work for me. I have as you would know nbn fibre to the building as i am in a newish apartment block.
I would like to remove the TPG provided tp-link router and replace it with this. As it is a modem/router I imagine so long as it is compatible should be quite straight forward?
Thanks

Hi @johndagg . If you have bundled NBN/VOIP plan, the VOIP phone only works if the the TPG router is connected to the wall socket. Requires VLAN ID = 2 setting. Asus would only be access point.

If you don't want the phone, or you are on BYO router data-only plan, the Asus should work on FTTB.

Data-only plan does not used VLAN ID.

Select Advanced Settings, WAN, Internet Connection: WAN Type is DSL, VDSL WAN (PTM).

Select PPPoE for WAN Connection Type.

Enable 802.1Q - enter in VLAN ID and in 802.1P

Enter your username and password and select Apply.

Cable goes from wall socket to DSL port.

The settings you mention are they to bridge the tp+link, or the settings for the router I put in behind it?

@johndagg . The settings are to use the Asus as main router connected to wall socket.

The TPG router can be configured as access point attached toAsus. The VOIP phone will not work.
