Help with using own router with FTTC

Hi,

I've recently purchaced a Netgear model RAX200. I've been attempting to connect this to the NBN device, and have had no success in doing so.

I've set my connection to use PPPoE. I've entered the login, the static IP address and the DNS, etc. I've also set the VLAN ID to 2.

There's no Internet connection, and I don't know what else I need to configure to get it to work. Is there anything specifically I'm missing!

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi @af

Welcome to the Community!

We were able to locate your account using your community details.

Please be advised that your NBN service is set to have a Dynamic IP address.

Try to reset your router and try again.

Just make sure that you use the correct PPPoE settings and VLAN ID is 2.

Hi BasilDV,

Thank you very much for that! It now works!

The info that I had on the Accounts page suggested it was static! All I needed to do was change it to DHCP! :-)
