Home Wireless Broadband Throttle

Hi,

I have a question about the home wireless broadband is the advertised speeds the maximum speeds you are able to achieve?

Are the speeds throttled so that the maximum is 20 Mbps download?

For example, I am on the 4g network with Vodafone on my phone and can achieve 70mbps download and 10mbps up.

Hi @woob, our Home Wireless Broadband speeds are up to a maximum off-peak speed of 20Mbps download and 2Mbps upload.

See our Speed Guide for more information.

Regards,

Aubrey

Does that mean you throttle the speeds?

Since 4g in my area is definitely capable of going over 20mbps.

@woob We deliver our service via the same network as Vodafone, but the configuration and specification of the services are different.

For Home Wireless broadband, the maximum speed available on this plan (20Mbps) during off-peak times and is a limit on what speeds you can receive, not a measurement of what you will actually receive at all times.
