Internet dropping in and out, extremely slow and no dial tone on the home phone

HI Guys, My internet is constantly dropping out and i have no dailtone on my home phone. It reals and error 'Check Line' I'm trying to home school and work from home as well and this is extremely frustration and the kids need to submit their work through th e schools online portal. I though it might have been the result of my old modem so I went out last night and bought a new modem and my router is new and was very expensive so should 100% be able to handle the load. Can some help?

I have created a fault ticket and a engineer will contact you within 24-48hrs.
