I was on TPG's NBN50 plan getting a decent 42Mbps down and 18Mbps up.
I upgraded to the NBN100 plan, and the best I get is 48Mbps down and 19Mbps up.
Was I wrong to assume the speeds would double? Download at least? Everything I read before upgrading suggested speeds of 80-90 Mbps.
Do I need to make some changes on my router, which is a Netcomm wireless NDD-0300 supplied by TPG?
The router is hooked up to a Google Mesh which is rated at 300Mbps at 2.4Ghz, faster at 5Ghz, so that's not the bottleneck.
Hi @GeeBee
Welcome to the Community!
We've created an article that may help you troubleshoot your slow speed issue.
Did you test the speed via WiFi? If yes, are you connected to the main modem/router or your Google mesh?
If you've tested the speed when connected to the Google mesh, then try to connect your device to the main modem/routers' network.
Please try to test the speed via Wired as well for comparison as it has less signal interference.
If it's still low, please send me a PM with your TPG username or customer ID number to assist you accordingly.
