NBN Ultrafast can't get 50mbps upload

Hi

I recently signed up to the NBN250 Ultrafast plan and after upgrading my router as my old Archer AC1200 wasn't going past 140MBPS downloads, I'm now able to achieve very fast download speeds as shown below, way beyond the advertised 250Mbps:

Capture.PNGI am not getting the advertised 50Mbps upload speeds however. Is there something that needs to be done on my account to activate the faster upload speed?

Hi @tjayatunge

Both download and upload speeds seemed to be within range. Have you done the speedetest with no other device(s) connected?

Send in your TPG account details (Customer ID/username) via PM so we can assist further.

Thanks!

Hi Ahra_G

I have PM'ed my details.

Yes I only had 1 device connected to the network via ethernet when I ran the speedtest.

I have the same issue. Seems the upload speed is being capped at 20mps when it should be 50mps.

Hi @Lockjaw

Are you currently using the TPG provided modem/router?

Did you test the speed via WiFi or Wired connection?

If via WiFi, are you connected to the 2.4GHz or 5GHz band network?

Can you try to test the speed via Wired for comparison?

Speed test is using a wired connection to a TPG supplied TPlink VX420-G2V
