I'm on Northern Beaches (SYD) too.
NBN has been down (no service at all) since approx 9-10am Sat 8th Aug.
Initial SMS notification saying service may be disrupted but no futher updates nor ETA on service restoration.
How can I get a status update? How wide is the outage? Is there anything I need to do if the service has been restored but an action is required (e.g. power cycle NBN router to resync)? This is not a good situation with people Working From Home and other essential tasks that require a connection.

We understand the need for a working service. Technicians have attended today, but they were unable to identify any fault, thus further investigation is required.
NBN Co. is doing their best to rectify this as soon as possible.
