Ping high in Singapore servers

I was playing games with my mates on a Singapore server. We're all in Australia but we decided to play on the Singapore server and they mentioned they were getting ~100ms ping while I was getting ~260 ping. I did a speedtest to a Singapore server to double check and it showed I was in fact getting ~260ms. I think this is abnormally high. I would like this to be fixed if possible.

We'd like to know if you are using a WiFi or a Wired connection?

You may need to run a ping and tracert test to confirm if there's a latency within your service.

I'm using a wired connection.

I tested it tonight and it's a lot better, quite normal ping. I think it was just something weird last night. Sorry to bother!
