Hi as anyone done a speed test while actually downloading?

I did and what a surprise, I have NBN100

ping 71ms

download 11.54

upload 4.08

at 7.37am Sat the 19th Dec 20

Stopped download and look

ping 11ms

download 84.9

upload 18.1

at 7.41am Sat

Speed test mean nothing until u are actually downloading

My car can do 200kph in the engeering stage.... add seats, engine, people and travel gear and never get to 200Kph in real life. Amazing that the manufactures dont use this as a selling feature

Can I get TPG to tell if I'm correct or not and or how to fix my problem?

Starting to get annoyed should have stayed with my 4G but now have locked in contract with TPG

Hi @GIJane

Thanks for raising this with us.

Since you are downloading a file online, then you are using the bandwidth for your service which explains why you are receiving a low speed test result.

You can't expect to receive a good speed test result, while the service is in use.
